View is from the headstock, this will be the top of the bowl. Rough dimension is 20 1/4" wide x 11" high. View from the Tail Stock. This will be the bottom of the bowl and will require turning a tenon for mounting on a 6" faceplate. Outside turned to final shape. Tenon turned for mounting faceplate. Front view from headstock. Bowl reverse mounted using a 6" faceplate. To utilize more of the turning block, a core has been removed using a McNaughton Corer. This core will also be cored for a smaller bowl. Inside removed and turned to final dimension of 17 1/4" x 7 1/2". View showing bowl turned from the largest core. Final dimension is 11 3/4" x 5 1/4". View showing the 2 bowls turned from the cores. Without coring, there would have been wood chips and sawdust instead of 2 additional nice bowls. Largest bowl from core measures 11 3/4" x 5 1/4"", small bowl measures 7 7/8" x 2 3/4".
